There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing our dogs find their ideal forever homes. At French Bulldog Rescue of Ontario, we work to ensure each dog is placed in a home that meets their unique needs. Every adoption application is carefully reviewed, following a thoughtful, step-by-step process. Read on to learn more about how our adoption journey works.
Step 1: Application & Initial Review
Start by completing our adoption application. One of our adoption coordinators will connect with you to discuss your application. If it progresses, we may check veterinary references (if applicable), personal references, and request photos of your home.
Step 2: Interview
A FBRO coordinator will schedule a conversation with you to learn more about your household, lifestyle, and the type of dog that would be the best fit.
Step 3: Meet & Greet
You and everyone in your home will have the chance to meet the dog. This is the perfect time to ask the foster questions and get to know your potential new family member.
Step 4: Finalizing the Paperwork
Once everything is approved, we’ll send the adoption contract for you to review and sign. This is also when the adoption fee is processed.
Adoption fees are individually determined factoring in age, expenses, and adoptive home requirements and generally range from $500 – $1000.
We understand that life can bring unexpected changes, and sometimes it’s no longer possible to care for a beloved dog. Our priority is to make the rehoming process as compassionate, respectful, and supportive as possible. When your dog is surrendered into our care, you can be assured they will receive proper care, attention, and medical support as needed. We work hard to find each dog a safe, loving new home while keeping their well-being at the heart of everything we do. If you would prefer to rehome your dog yourself we can assist you through our Placement Assist Service. We will feature your dog on our pages and provide guidance, applicant screening and the necessary resources to help you find a good match new family for your pet.
